Bridal Creeper May 2012

While in my garden this week I had to remove several Bridal Creeper plants. At east one had a significant underground rhizome mass which I believe I was able to dig out completely. We are in a Bridal Creeper infested zone. In South Kilkerran it has invaded the roadsides and birds drop seeds onto my property. My research shows that it is difficult to eradicate but there is a biological control under way. In the meantime I think I will treat it more aggressively on my roadside.

There is plenty of info on the web  at weeds org. and weeds.gov.au.
