WHITE VIENNA BREAD

This recipes makes a soft light white bread that is delicious.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Sieve the flour
  2. Add salt, bread improver, and sugar.
  3. Dissolve yeast in some of the lukewarm milk
  4. Then stir this in with the rest of the milk and water.
  5. Pour into the bread machine first.
  6. Tip the flour mix on top of the liquid.
  7. Select Medium crust for a 750g loaf.
  8. Cycle takes about 2hrs 45min.
  9. When complete remove the bread tin from the machine and let it sit on a cooling rack for about 5mins.
  10. Then tip out the loaf onto the rack and allow to cool before slicing.

LAUCKE WHOLEGRAIN MIX BREAD

This recipe makes a standard wholegrain loaf of bread that is not stodgy and heavy but as good as any from a professional bakery.

Ingredients

  • 600g packet of Laucke’s Wholegrain bread mix.
  • 430ml water
  • 2 tsp yeast (Lowans dried yeast)
  • 2 tsp bread improver (Wallaby brand used)

Method

  1. Pour 430ml water into bread machine.
  2. Add Laucke’s Wholegrain Bread Mix.
  3. Add yeast and bread improver.
  4. Select Medium crust for a 1kg loaf.
  5. Cycle takes about 2hrs 50min.
  6. When complete remove the bread tin from the machine and let it sit on a cooling rack for about 5mins.
  7. Then tip out the loaf onto the rack and allow to cool before slicing.
