Macadamia Biscuits

Winnie’s Macadamia Cookie Recipe

Makes about 36 biscuits.

160-170g Unsalted Butter

1 cup Sugar

1 whole egg

Vanilla to taste. Better with Real Vanilla

1 3/4 cups Self Raising Flour

1/2 cup Macadamia Nuts Crushed.

METHOD

Mix all ingredients together. Once a uniform crumbly mix is achieved form into walnut sized balls then place on backing paper on a biscuit tray and squash down flat with your hand or a flat tool.

Bake in a pre-heated oven 175 deg fan forced and bake for about 10 mins until biscuits turn a very light golden colour on the edges.

Remove from oven and leave on the tray on a wire rack for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool. If biscuits have sweated then move to wire rack earlier next time.

Biscuits will take 15-20 mins to fully set.

Store in an airtight container.
